Women employment in Turkey shows high rise but low quality

Despite women’s participation in labor market rises in Turkey, most of them are employed at works that require less qualifications or don’t provide social security. There are currently 3.1 million female workers of 7.7 million female workers in total that have social security. Most of them work in the retail, education, health, bureau, food and beverage, ready wear and food sectors.
